Temporary Bus Driver – Camp Position

Job Summary
Conduct full-time temporary bus transportation for employees to and from job sites in the Wood Buffalo area, operating a 14-day-on/7-day-off rotation from late July through August. Perform pre and post-trip inspections, deliver customer service to passengers, and ensure compliance with Provincial Hours of Service while submitting daily DVCRs and FLRA reports. Maintain a safety mindset to protect riders, drivers, and the public. This 2-month camp-based position offers competitive hourly wages with pension, full accommodation, and meals, requiring a valid Class 1 or 2 license and minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience operating buses or other similar large vehicles
- Safety mindset
- Ability to perform pre and post-trip inspections
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service to passengers and clients
- Ability to ensure compliance with Provincial Hours of Service and adhere to all Diversified policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to complete and submit daily DVCR's and FLRA's
- Ability to obtain clearance for: Driving Record Check (Abstract (no more than 3 demerits) and Pre-Employment Check Ride)
- Ability to obtain clearance for: Physical Demands Analysis
- Ability to obtain clearance for: Drug & Alcohol Test
- Ability to obtain clearance for: Criminal Record Check
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Teamwork and positive mindset
- Flexibility to adapt to changing routes, schedules, and job assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Previous industrial / camp experience
- Familiarity and good knowledge of Fort McMurray and the surrounding area
