Job Summary
Perform standard assembly operations on manufactured equipment, small mechanical parts, and large machinery including engines, transmissions, and generators. Execute fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and operational testing while conducting preventive maintenance, inspecting production equipment, and performing minor repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to quality and continuous improvement processes. Requires proficiency in hand and power tools, basic measurement instruments, and blueprint reading. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 65 lbs occasionally, with physical demands including frequent bending, crawling, and working in narrow spaces. Will be required to work outside and in shop environments without air conditioning, with potential for shifts exceeding eight hours. This temporary role may convert to a full-time permanent position.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- two to ten years related experience
- Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions
- Must be proficient in basic hand and power tools
- Must be proficient in basic measurement tools (Tape measure, rulers, squares)
- Basic understanding of calibration tools. (Torque Wrench)
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally
- Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels)
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers
- Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces
- Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools
- Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers
- Normal vision with or without corrective lenses
- Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift
- Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred
