Job Summary
On-site, five-month temporary role focused on greenhouse plant care and facility support. Responsibilities include watering, fertilizing, maintaining growing media, cleaning/sterilizing pots and work areas, autoclave operations, and assisting growers and staff. Requires attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team and independently, strong communication skills, and physical ability to perform labor (lifting, climbing, bending). On-site in Ithaca, NY; 39 hours/week at $22/hour; no visa sponsorship or relocation. Proficiency with basic office tools (MS Word/Excel) and reliable transportation are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and experience with plant care
- Ability to climb and work from a ladder; bend/kneel; lift over 50 pounds
- Able to work in all temperature conditions
- Valid New York State driver’s license
- COVID-19 or other health safety protocols as applicable
