Drive diesel-powered tractor-trailer combinations up to 80,000 lbs or smaller vehicles, applying knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, state laws, and hazardous material regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety defects before and after each trip, maintain daily logs, and perform emergency roadside repairs such as tire changes or installing chains.
