Job Summary
Facilitate patient care by assisting the surgeon before, during, and after surgical procedures across General, Plastics, Robotics, and Urology services. Plan, set up, perform, and clean up assigned procedures as a circulator and scrub tech while maintaining sterile fields and performing sharp, sponge, and instrument counts. Complete a 13-week day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN, with premium pay at $60/hour. Certification and two years of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C certification
- Military training accepted in lieu of certification
- Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved specific discipline
- Successful completion of a surgical technologist training program during the applicant's service as a member of any branch of the armed forces of the United States
- Experience with Operating Room Care
- Experience with Environmental Sterility & Safety
- Experience with Inventory Management
- Experience with Surgical Technology
- Experience with Equipment Maintenance
- Knowledge of specific surgical equipment and its performance criteria, capabilities and limitations
- Experience with Procedures Knowledge
