Job Summary
Install and terminate low-voltage temperature control and BAS components, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices. Mount control panels per project specifications and perform system startup, commissioning, checkout, and functional testing. Diagnose complex issues on new and existing BAS and HVAC control systems while supporting service calls, upgrades, and preventative maintenance. Review control sequences, electrical schematics, and customer requirements to document work and communicate technical findings. Maintain safety and quality standards while collaborating with project managers and customers to deliver reliable systems. Valid driver's license and ability to travel required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with temperature controls, building automation systems, or HVAC controls
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment operation, control strategies, and system integration
- Hands-on experience with one or more major BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Distech, Siemens, Trane, Carrier, KMC, Automated Logic, or similar systems
- Experience commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial building automation systems with minimal supervision
- Solid knowledge of low-voltage control wiring, including analog and digital circuits
- Experience working with BACnet communications (IP and MS/TP)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and sequences of operation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work independently in the field
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and customers
Desired Qualifications
- Niagara N4 experience or certification preferred
