Job Summary
Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan lessons, establish learning objectives, and select instructional strategies including lectures, group discussions, and multi-media aids. Present subject matter to students while maintaining order, ensuring safety, and creating an environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Evaluate student progress using appropriate assessment techniques and participate in teacher-parent conferences as necessary. Monitor equipment, textbooks, and facilities; actively contribute to collaborative planning sessions regarding instructional goals and methods. Improve skills in current trends, research, and multicultural content while demonstrating proficiency with business technology applications.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university
- Three (3) years administrative experience with proven knowledge and application within the related field
- Desire to work within the educational sector
- Desire to work with children
- Excellent communication – written and oral communication – in both English and the target World Language
- Good organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations
- Bilingual/Biliterate in the target language: French, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish native or near native
- Employee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint)
