The Temp Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations during assigned shifts at the University of Pennsylvania Class of 1923 Ice Skating Rink. This includes supervising rink attendants, supporting programming, ensuring facility cleanliness, and managing cash handling. The role requires strong operational judgment and customer service skills while working in a fast-paced recreational environment. The position demands evening and weekend availability, operational knowledge of ice resurfacing equipment, and the ability to lead staff effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Demonstrated experience in operational or shift-based management required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to a diverse patron base.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
- Ability to lift 24–50 lbs. and perform physically active work.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in ice rink, recreation, or athletics facility operations preferred.
- Previous retail or sales experience is desirable.
