Job Summary
Scientist, Bioconjugation Purification responsible for designing and executing purification strategies for antibodies and bioconjugates (including ADCs, APCs, and AOCs), purifying and formulating antibodies/bioconjugates, and characterizing products to assess quality, purity, identity, and conjugation attributes. Will generate and interpret data, optimize purification workflows, and collaborate across bioconjugation, protein engineering, analytical, and other teams to support discovery through preclinical development. Requires hands-on purification (chromatography and filtration), analytical characterization, data reporting, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced, collaborative laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in biology with 2+ years of relevant experience OR MS/MA degree in biology with some relevant industry experience OR PhD or equivalent and some relevant experience
- Knowledge of Biology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Chemical Biology/Bioengineering or related field
- Experience in purification of monoclonal/complex antibodies, antibody fragments, recombinant proteins, and/or bioconjugates
- Hands-on experience in preparative and analytical chromatography techniques (affinity, ion exchange, HIC, SEC, multimodal)
- Experience with chromatography systems (ÄKTA Pure/Avant or equivalent)
- Proficiency with TFF/UF-DF and buffer exchange
- Analytical methods for proteins/bioconjugates (SEC-HPLC, HIC-HPLC for DAR, RP-HPLC, UV-Vis, endotoxin testing)
- Analytical mass spectrometry familiarity a plus
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data
- Strong documentation skills (notebooks, batch records, SOPs)

- Ability to independently design experiments and troubleshoot
