Job Summary
Prepare financial statement packages, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, and bank reconciliations for assigned commercial properties. Coordinate month-end closes, produce financial statements, and manage CAM reconciliations while analyzing variances and providing explanations to management. Interpret complex lease language, review and approve invoice coding from the AP team, and monitor cash balances to ensure timely debt, tax, and sales tax payments. Independently manage outstanding tasks, resolve tenant issues, and respond to auditor requests during financial or SOX audits. Hybrid work position with two in-office days per week. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 0-2 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or directly related field
- 0-2 years of experience in an Accounting department
- General understanding of GAAP
- Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision
- Trustworthy and preservers confidentiality
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret information such as online research, instructions, contracts, and procedure manuals
- Command of the fundamentals of accounting and math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Hybrid work position with two in-office days per week
