Job Summary
Capture product, artistic, lifestyle, and event photography in studio and outdoor settings, managing the workflow from initial capture to final editing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand toy costume and accessory details, then plan and execute shoots while selecting props and arranging displays. Utilize lighting techniques and post-processing methods to produce visually captivating images for marketing materials, catalogs, and social media, adhering to brand guidelines. Process raw files with color adjustments, perform retouching, and organize digital assets in the management system. Maintain a consistent photographic style reflecting brand identity. This temporary role in Fort Lauderdale (FL) operates on a hybrid schedule (Monday-Thursday onsite, Fridays remote) at $25-30/hr. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years of professional experience in a mid-sized company
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent trade school experience
- Proficiency in operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lighting equipment, and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to capture product details and textures, especially with consumer products, including in-package and out-of-package images, focusing on challenging materials like metallics, translucents, and reflective surfaces
- High level of visual storytelling and creativity, conveying a sense of playfulness in your images
- Skilled in photo retouching, including color correction, compositing, masking, resizing, and optimization
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities
- Capability to manage high-volume workloads effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset for working within diverse teams
- A passion for toys, costumes, and imaginative play
- Familiarity with Sony camera setup and functions
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Bridge)
- Experience with video tethering setup and broadcasting via Google video chat
- Currently authorized to work in the U.S.
- Hybrid model (Monday-Thursday onsite, Fridays remote)
