TEMP Emergency Department RN (36Hr, Nights)

Job Summary
Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department (36-hour night shifts) including multi-system assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, discharge planning, accurate documentation, and timely administration of medications per protocol. Requires ED experience and relevant certifications (ACLS/BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, emergency nursing courses) with ability to teach and communicate effectively in a fast-paced acute care setting. Located in Clackamas, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience
- One (1) year of current ED experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the ED
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Life Support required at hire
- Computer keyboarding skills
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
- Preferred Qualifications: CEN preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: TNCC preferred
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias preferred
- A desire and ability to function within the nursing process preferred
- A desire and ability to function within professional and personnel standards as defined
- Ability to use and apply effective communication and interpersonal relationship skills preferred
