Job Summary
Greet customers entering the branch and guide them to the appropriate support. Provide efficient, effective, and courteous customer service in person and via telephone while supplying information on banking products suited to individual needs. Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checking, and other financial transactions with a high level of accuracy. Make decisions alongside immediate supervisors as position knowledge and experience grow. Work closely with the training team and branch staff to complete Rockland Trust's Teller Training program. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals.
- Sales and service-oriented personality.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes.
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
