Job Summary
Teller Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the Teller area, scheduling, annual performance reviews, and disciplinary actions under the Branch Manager. Duties include managing vault operations, cash handling, ATM balancing, and ensuring adherence to Credit Union policies. Leads staff development, coaches tellers, and ensures quality member service and accurate transaction processing. Performs teller functions as needed, including interviewing and opening accounts/IRAs/HSAs/loans, handling deposits and loans, and providing a variety of teller transactions. Coordinates work schedules for full-time and part-time staff, supports branch initiatives, and may cover additional branches as required. Requires strong leadership, interpersonal skills, experience in a financial institution, knowledge of a multi-line phone system, and the ability to train and cross-train staff while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supervising tellers or banking staff
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage scheduling and performance reviews
- Cash handling experience and familiarity with vault operations
- Knowledge of multi-line phone system
- Experience with ATM balancing and cash reconciliation
- Ability to open accounts/IRAs/HSAs/loans and provide member services as needed
- Intermediate mathematical skills (decimals, percentages, fractions)
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and frequent standing
