Job Summary
Greet customers professionally, understand their needs, and provide appropriate solutions for account inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, and general banking transactions. Accurately count, receive, and disburse cash, checks, and financial instruments while ensuring the cash drawer balances at the start and end of each shift. Process various banking transactions including loan payments, money orders, and traveler's checks in compliance with regulatory requirements such as the Bank Secrecy Act and AML. Identify cross-sales opportunities to generate qualified referrals and assist in detecting money laundering or other unlawful activities. Maintain a higher level of customer satisfaction by promptly resolving issues or concerns.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of teller experience or 1-2 years of experience and/or customer service experience, including cash handling
- General knowledge of basic mathematical calculations and techniques
- Valid driver's license for the state in which they reside
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use arms and legs, and sit most of the time
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Jack Henry or other similar experiences
- Experience in Jack Henry or similar platforms
- An overall knowledge of typical bank-related products and services
