Job Summary
Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, checks, transfers, wire transfers, and loan payments while updating account information and documenting member interviews in the core system. Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships by recommending products and educating members on benefits, then collaborate with internal departments to resolve concerns. Perform department support duties such as scanning, faxes, and daily reports while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role floats between Michigan branches including Auburn Hills, Centerline, Clinton Township, Macomb, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights, and Troy, with an intent to transition into a permanent branch placement following successful onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Up to six months of similar or related experience including time spent in similar or preparatory positions
- A high school degree or GED
- A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy
- Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills that include proven ability to handle difficult member interactions
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of products including Word and Outlook
- Ability to be bonded
- Possesses basic mathematical skills and is proficient in the use of calculators
- Must be able to multitask effectively to assist members with their inquiries
- Ability to obtain Notary designation
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Monday - Friday: 8:45AM - 5:15PM
- Saturday: 8:45AM - 1:15PM
