Job Summary
Maintain cash drawer and adequate cash supplies, settle cash daily, and verify validity of checks and cash received. Process money orders, cash advances, and mail payments while adhering to NBCU's Negotiable Instruments Verification Handling Procedures and Teller Cash Standards. Answer member telephone inquiries, respond to member requests and complaints, and cross-sell credit union products to meet member needs. Ensure compliance with Bank Secrety Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act by accurately completing CTR and Monetary Instrument logs.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years cash-handling experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in banking
- Prior Teller experience
- Basic skills related to Microsoft Office applications
- Mathematical aptitude
- Positive, professional business relationships within the credit union
- The ability to work independently and take-on additional projects as assigned
