Job Summary
Accept deposits, cash checks, and manage cash handling up to 45 pounds while maintaining accurate records for deposits, withdrawals, and negotiable instruments. Open and close individual and commercial accounts, prepare BSA reports like CTRs and SIRs, and process check orders and ATM settlements. Provide customer service by answering calls, assisting walk-ins, and guiding clients through safe deposit boxes and NSF collections. Work Mon–Fri 3pm–7pm with rotating weekend hours, standing for most of the day. Perform operational duties including vault operations, cash ordering, and report completion.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (if branch is open on weekends)
- Standing for most of the work day
- Lifting, carrying or moving heavy boxes or bags or currency and coin weighing up to 45 pounds
- Manual dexterity
- Visual and aural acuity
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Ability to perform customer service duties
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to subordinate members of the department
- Ability to ensure that appropriate efficiency, accuracy, and customer service is provided to customers
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to function as a team player
- Minimum of 24 months prior bank teller experience or other related cash handling experience

- Skill in communicating with clients and co-workers in courteous and professional manner
- Skill in operating computer terminals and printers, back counter capture machine, coin machine and copie
- Skills in effectively listening to customers and making appropriate referrals
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Full knowledge of personal and business banking products offered
- Basic knowledge of all banking regulations applicable to the job function and of all bank policies and procedures
- Knowledge of general banking principles
- Willingness to participate in educational opportunities
