Job Summary
Teller position for Community Credit Union of Florida focusing on delivering outstanding service and assisting members with routine branch transactions. Responsibilities include processing deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, check cashing, night depository duties, and promoting credit union products through cross-selling. Requires high school diploma/GED and 2+ years of related experience in cash handling and customer service, with intermediate computer and math skills, knowledge of banking compliance, and strong communication. May rotate between branches as needed and may be assigned to various locations. Emphasizes member relations, service standards, and adherence to security policies in a fast-paced, open-office banking environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- two or more years of related experience and/or training in cash handling, customer service, and financial institution operations
- effective sales experience with cross-selling products and services to grow membership
- ability to identify customer needs and sell products and services
- intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation
- typing skills
- intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Credit Union operational policies
- intermediate math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; count currency, coin, and negotiable instruments
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to multitask and work with moderate supervision while being a strong team player
- comfortable working in a shared space with constant noise
- reliable transportation
- commitment to safety and security policies
- familiarity with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), AML, CIP, and CDD policies
- cash-handling proficiency
- debtor/credit union operations experience
