Job Summary
Teller at Community Credit Union of Florida handles routine member transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders), processes loan payments, exchanges currency, and assists with night depository duties. The role includes promoting credit union services, cross-selling products, maintaining accurate records, verifying identities, and ensuring compliance with BSA/AML/CIP/CDD policies. The position requires high school level education, cash-handling and customer-service experience, the ability to work at multiple branches, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, open office setting. The role involves direct member interaction in a branch environment and may require rotation between locations. Maintains security over cash and adheres to regulatory guidelines; supports with general operations and notary duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training
- Cash handling experience
- Customer service experience
- Experience with financial institution operations
- Effective sales experience with cross-selling products and services
- Intermediate computer terminal and PC operation
- Intermediate knowledge of state and federal banking regulations (BSA/AML/CIP/CDD)
- Ability to balance cash drawer and count currency accurately
