Job Summary
Conduct transactions with speed, accuracy, and efficiency while safeguarding bank assets and promoting cross-selling of products. Receive, pay out cash, handle negotiable items, and process deposits, withdrawals, and transfers. Set up and balance teller stations, maintain neat areas, and assist with vault, ATM, and coin machine balancing. Exercise judgment on check cashing decisions and apply holds while adhering to established limits for customer account protection. Scan bank documents, perform proof work, and cross-train to open basic new consumer accounts. Complete required BSA/AML and compliance training as assigned. Maintain a positive professional attitude, work in a constant state of alertness, and lift up to 50 lbs. Float between branch locations as needed and remain flexible in schedule availability. This safety-sensitive role requires frequent vehicle use during and after business hours.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
- Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement
- Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables

- Employee must be available to float between work locations as needed
- Must be flexible in availability for work schedule
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
