Job Summary
Greet entering bank clients via lobby or phone with a positive, professional manner. Handle cash transactions including disbursements, deposits, and withdrawals while recording and proofing them per bank policies. Accurately process credit and debit transactions, verify cash drawers, and prepare daily work forms. Issue traveler's checks, money orders, and official bank checks while maintaining proper cash supply and acceptable difference records. Assist the Banking Center Manager with audit records and refer clients to appropriate associates for complex product inquiries. Cross-train to open new accounts and support personal bankers with related duties. Perform client service tasks such as address changes, stop payments, and loan payments. Maintain lobby management and security policies including alarm functions and cash control.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent (GED)
- 1+ years of previous Teller experience
- Two or more years of heavy cashiering experience may be substituted for Teller experience
- Knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency with personal computers and other business equipment
- Knowledgeable in financial institution operating policies and procedures, and banking regulations, state and federal
