Job Summary
Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, and night depository deposits with accuracy and efficiency. Verify customer identity, validate checks, and ensure negotiable instruments meet Bank standards. Receive, count, and balance cash at the beginning and end of each shift while recording all transactions accurately. Identify customer banking needs, recommend appropriate products, and assist with paperwork such as deposit slips and withdrawal forms. Maintain compliance with Bank policies, BSA/AML regulations, and federal guidelines while detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions. Use banking software to track transactions and generate reports. Meet established Key Performance Indicators related to transaction accuracy, customer service, and branch performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of relevant experience in banking, operations, sales, or customer service
- Knowledge of branch operations, retail banking processes, and commercial account services
- Basic understanding of state and federal banking regulations and Bank operational policies
- Proficiency with computers, teller systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong numerical accuracy and the ability to count currency and negotiable instruments efficiently
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, and work under periods of stress or high customer volume
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with general supervision while maintaining accuracy and accountability
