Job Summary
Accept retail and commercial deposits, cash checks, and process loan payments while maintaining good customer relations. Assist with night depository duties, vault opening and closing, and safe deposit control. Operate computer terminals to process account activity, issue official checks, and resolve problems within given authority. Cross-sell bank products, answer telephones, and balance cash drawers daily. Adhere to all security procedures, federal regulations, and service excellence standards. Maintain files, process reports, and complete annual compliance courses. Requires less than three years of teller experience and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Work related experience consisting of reception or secretarial duties in a business environment
- Educational experience through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related
- Intermediate knowledge of Bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to work with minimal supervision
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct personnel
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands and fingers
- Ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled

- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers
