Job Summary
Conduct transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently while safeguarding bank assets and promoting cross-sold products. Manage teller stations by receiving, paying out cash, handling negotiable items, and balancing vaults, ATMs, and coin machines. Assist customers with inquiries, process deposits and withdrawals, and exercise judgment on check cashing decisions. Maintain a neat teller area, adhere to strict safety limits, and complete required BSA/AML training. Lift coin bags up to 50 lbs and scan bank documents. Work in a constant state of alertness, maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED
- 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations
- Basic math skills
- 10-Key
- Cash handling experience in a business environment
- Ability to maintain a positive, friendly and professional attitude and appearance
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be flexible in availability for work schedule
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
- Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement
- Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables
