Teller I

Process customer account transactions and services including sales of official checks, traveler's checks, and cash deposits. Receive checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter records. Assist in the bank-by-mail function, issue checks, and cash checks from various accounts upon verification. Balance cash drawers, count and package currency, and place holds on accounts for uncollected funds. Cross-sell financial institution services and receive loan payments while ensuring they match balances due. Check night depository bags and record information on forms. Maintain station supplies and report discrepancies to supervisors. Requires six months to one year of cash handling experience and good interpersonal communication skills.
