Job Summary
Conduct daily customer service by processing checking and savings transactions, issuing checks and money orders, and handling deposits with dual control. Balance assigned cash drawers, verify currency, and reconcile discrepancies while maintaining confidentiality and complying with bank secrecy and funds availability policies. Refer customers to other departments for loans, mortgages, and wealth management services, utilizing the CRM system to track interactions and cross-sell products. Receive and answer telephone inquiries regarding account status and assist with safe deposit box access. Complete foundational and advanced training programs, including shadowing, and participate in at least three community events annually.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in a related position
- Experience in retail with cash handling responsibilities
- Computer skills
- Utilization of office equipment
- Dexterity to count money
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Successful completion of all training and evaluation requirements in the Retail Teller Career Path necessary for transition from Teller 1 to Teller 2 to Teller 3
