Job Summary
Conduct transactional duties to serve members by accurately receiving or paying out funds, including deposits, withdrawals, wires, and loan payments. Balance cash drawers and daily transactions while verifying and posting entries to member accounts. Review documents to ensure compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies, and provide routine information to direct members to appropriate departments. Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and perform miscellaneous tasks such as filing, copying, data input, and answering the phone. Open and close the Member Center, maintaining accurate records and fostering relationships with members.
Required Qualifications
- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
- A high school education or GED
- Effective communication with contacts inside and outside the organization
- The ability to influence and sell ideas or services to members or others
- A significant level of emotional intelligence
- The ability to operate check scanning software
- The ability to operate coin counting machines
- The ability to operate cash counting machines
- Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and work-related information
