Job Summary
Greet members, complete transactions, and handle currency, coin, and negotiable items while projecting a professional image. Maintain and balance cash, ATM, and vault daily; process night drops, mail payments, and checks accurately. Apply critical thinking to recognize and mitigate fraudulent activities. Provide information on products and services, solve member problems, and refer credit union offerings. Follow opening and closing procedures, attend meetings, and maintain a clean work area. Answer telephone calls by the third ring and deliver on commitments to members.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One to three years similar or related experience
- Ability to receive and disburse funds in an accurate manner
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional, pleasant, and outgoing personality
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to sell
- Team player
- Knowledge of credit union operations
- Knowledge/ability to use various computer programs
- Decision making skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, and contacts outside of the credit union in a polite, courteous timely, accurate and efficient manner
- Patience in dealing with a difficult member
- Knowledge of BSA, OFAC, etc.
