Job Summary
Process member and non-member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check-cashing while assessing fees per the schedule. Maintain member records, balance cash drawers within fifteen minutes of the branch shutdown, and manage onsite ATM operations by loading cash and balancing the machine. Assist with opening and closing the branch, operate the cash vault and dispenser, and perform safe deposit operations. Cross-sell credit union products to fulfill member needs. Ensure all reports and records are accurate and completed timely while adhering to security procedures and business ethics.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic accounting
- Minimum of six months to two years of experience as a financial service representative at a full-service financial institution
- Excellent communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Solid math skills
- Ability to operate related computer software, and other business equipment including 10-key, money counters, and telephone
- Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
- Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization
- Ability to perform basic math skills and to use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5-6,000 words; to read at a slow rate; define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation
- Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and use adjectives and adverbs
- Ability to communicate in complex sentences; using normal word order with present and past tenses; using a good vocabulary
- Standing throughout the day; movement of sitting down/standing up
- Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally
