Job Summary
Telephonic Nurse Case Manager (RN) for workers' compensation cases, remote-based role involving nursing evaluations, care planning, implementation and coordination of services to ensure timely, cost-effective care and expedite return to work. Responsibilities include communicating with medical providers, employers and injured workers; evaluating patient status; reviewing provider reports and treatment plans; coordinating with claims examiners and arranging care/services (home health, equipment, transportation) as needed; documenting comprehensive notes and ensuring adherence to the plan of care following authorization. Requires a Graduate of an accredited nursing program, Compact RN license in good standing, and 3-5 years of RN experience; compensation is wage-based or salary-based depending on state requirements; benefits include health insurance, 401K, PTO, holidays, equipment provided, and monthly internet stipend.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid Compact RN license in good standing
- Valid state-appropriate RN license in good standing with no restrictions
- 3-5 years clinical experience as an RN outside of school
- Experience in Case Management preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with computers (MS Word, MS Excel, Email)
