Job Summary
Remote Telephone Triage RN role responsible for triaging phone calls from unlicensed assistive personnel, documenting interactions in real time, and coordinating with delegating nurses, on-call nurses, management, pharmacy personnel, and facilities to ensure safety and quality. Maintains RN licensure, CPR certification, and malpractice insurance; adheres to current policies and regulations; may participate in in-person or virtual meetings as directed and report to work during emergencies as required. Schedule includes Thursday 3pm-10pm, Saturday 7am-5pm, Sunday 7am-3pm, with total ~25 hours weekly and potential one overnight shift per month; position designated as a Mandatory/Essential Employee. Requires active MD RN license or multi-state compact license, reliable internet and a smartphone, and ability to communicate effectively in English. Prior experience in developmental disabilities is highly desired, and the role involves real-time documentation, review of recent calls, and collaboration with healthcare teams to facilitate safe discharges and ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- AS/AA/BSN preferred
- Current/valid Maryland RN license or current/valid multistate compact license required
- Experience in developmental disabilities environment highly desired
- Working smartphone capable of calls, emails and internet access
- Reliable wireless internet
- Fluency in spoken and written English
