Job Summary
Operates telephone switchboard and associated paging/communication equipment to connect callers, provide information, and assist departments. Performs light clerical duties and may train new employees. Requires professional telephone etiquette and strong customer service skills; handles emergency and routine calls, dispatches between hospital personnel and security as needed, and monitors alarm systems. Provides on-call support and assists with admitting patients and mail distribution as part of department duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent (Preferred)
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Preferred)
- Customer service call center experience (Preferred)
