Job Summary
Telepharmacy Technician oversees the daily operations of a Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy location under pharmacist supervision, focusing on safe operation, inventory management (including controlled substances), workflow execution, and customer service. The role includes acting as a keyholder, managing inventory through cycle counts and annual inventories, handling communications with the Supervising Pharmacist, supporting training and development of new Telepharmacy staff, and assisting patients with medication-related questions while ensuring adherence to CVS workflow procedures and HIPAA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (may be 2+ in select states)
- PTCB National Certification or equivalent state-accepted national Pharmacy Technician Certification
- High school diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) required
- State-level licensure requirements vary by state
