Job Summary
Conduct telemetry nursing care for neuroscience, neurology, and neurosurgical patients in a designated stroke unit and Level 3 epilepsy center. Manage post-surgical neurology cases using the NIH scale and support adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in a thrombectomy-capable facility. Provide BLS and ACLS support with no call required, working every other weekend shifts. Float between units to meet staffing needs. Submit a clear acceptance response within 24 hours to secure the auto-offer for a 13-week travel assignment starting September 2026.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Telemetry Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
- Washington license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- No hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past
- Neurology RN experience
- Comfortable with the NIH scale
- Proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and other various neurology diagnoses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- Responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing
- Clear Yes or No response to offer within 24hrs
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services
- If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations
