Job Summary
Conduct night telemetry unit coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, reading telemetry strips, performing arrhythmia analysis, and administering heparin distribution testing. Float within scope of practice across multiple units, potentially assuming charge or preceptor responsibilities. Maintain ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications while adhering to a 12-hour shift schedule with three shifts weekly. Work 16 weeks starting September 2026, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holidays with no return-to-office during the period. Submit to Nashville General Hospital - Direct, excluding current placements at that facility.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 3 months of Telemetry Unit experience
- Tennessee license or compact license
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Arrhythmia reading and heparin distribution testing
- Willingness to work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- No RTO during the holiday period
- Charge or preceptor responsibilities
- Floating within the candidate's scope of practice
- 14 days maximum time off
- Charge/Lead reference from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Registered license type
- TN license state
