Job Summary
Telemetry Technician on the telemetry unit, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, monitors, documents, and reports ECG activity and serves as a critical communication link with the RN regarding changes in cardiac rhythms. Requires completion of a Medical terminology course (or equivalent), completion of a basic ECG course (or completion within 30 days of hire), and National Provider BLS per American Heart Association. This is a part-time night-shift role (7pm–7:30am, 2 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend and rotating holidays).
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of a Medical terminology course. Or equivalent educ/experience
- Completion of a basic ECG course, or completion within 30 days of hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
