Job Summary
Monitor cardiac and oximetry patients under supervision, reporting rhythm changes and lethal rhythms to registered nurses per outlined workflow. Interpret cardiac rhythm patterns and communicate directly with physicians regarding changes. Maintain a safe, hazard-free, and clean environment to facilitate quality patient-focused care. Complete basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition coursework within six months of hire and possess at least six months of healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required with-in six(6) months of hire
- 6 months of experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting
Desired Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Medical terminology course
- Coursework/Training and Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course
- 6 months of experience monitoring ECGs in an area that has the capability to monitor at least 16 patients
