Job Summary
Monitor assigned patients continuously, ensuring timely responses to all alarms and verifying correct identification of basic, lethal, and artifact rhythms. Perform EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, and wave form alterations, then validate strip interpretations with the RN. Maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alerts as needed. Complete required EKG class and competencies within 30 days of start. Full-time, 12-hour day shifts at Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville. Tuition reimbursement and comprehensive benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position
- Must pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*
- Preferred background as a Licensed Paramedic
- Preferred background as an RN nursing student with EKG training
