Job Summary
Monitor and interpret ECG monitors continuously, identifying changes in patient rhythms and communicating updates to the registered nurse. Document calculations and interpretations on required forms while notifying nursing staff of technical monitor problems. Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles when processing equipment, and record all necessary information on departmental forms. Assist with orientation of the healthcare team, performance improvement activities, and maintain departmental competencies. Requires completing the Basic Dysrhythmia course and passing the Telemetry Technician test. Night shift, 12-hour rotation, Marlton location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Grade Equivalent Diploma (GED)
- Must be capable of successfully completing Basic Dysrhythmia course and passing the test for Telemetry Technicians
- Must be available for Night Shift - 12 Hr
- Must be available for On-Site work
- Must be available for Full time employment
- Must be available for Regular Time Type
- Must be located in South Jersey (Marlton - Rt 73 and Brick Road area)
- Must be able to operate electronic computer-based equipment
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and interprofessional skills
- Must be able to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
- Must be able to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Desired Qualifications
- 3-6 months previous experience
- Knowledge of dysrhythmia and heart blocks
- Knowledge of SPO2 monitoring and alarm response
