Job Summary
Monitor patients requiring continual cardiac monitoring by overseeing and communicating cardiac patterns on telemetric devices. Maintain telemetry monitoring equipment and supply inventory while documenting irregular rhythms and heartbeat changes. Forward these changes to the nurse and/or attending physician for analysis and interpretation. Perform various activities regarding telemetry monitoring as part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience
- Associate's degree
- Technical degree
Desired Qualifications
- One year of Telemetry Technician experience
