Job Summary
Maintain continuous observation of electrocardiograph patterns, record changes and communicate actions with nursing staff, and perform basic hands-on troubleshooting of telemetry equipment. Utilize knowledge of dysrhythmias and effective communication with interdisciplinary team members. Complete a basic EKG course with written, oral, and practical exams, and maintain BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must complete basic EKG course including a comprehensive written, oral and practical exam
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Basic knowledge of dysrhythmias
- Competence in the operation of the telemetry equipment
- Ability to perform basic hands-on troubleshooting
- Effective communication with unit personnel and interdisciplinary team members
- Ability to record changes, actions and communication with the nursing staff as needed
- Must be available for Part-Time (2 shifts/week)
- Must be available for Night Shift
