Job Summary
The Telemetry Monitor Tech interprets rhythms and arrhythmias, reports changes in heart rate/rhythm to nursing staff, maintains telemetry supplies, and records patient conditions using computerized documentation. The role requires identifying normal and abnormal EKG rhythm patterns, assessing and documenting EKG abnormalities, and promptly notifying healthcare professionals. Adapting behavior for specific patient populations and ensuring privacy is essential. Candidates must achieve a test score above 90% on cardiac rhythm interpretation and possess a current Basic Life Support certification.
