Job Summary
Conduct virtual patient assessments, review medical histories, and provide appropriate medical treatment while building therapeutic doctor-patient relationships. Order and interpret lab tests to inform treatment decisions, prescribe medications (excluding controlled substances except buprenorphine), and collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff for comprehensive care. Maintain accurate medical documentation, stay current on telehealth innovations and best practices, and utilize provided EMR and telemedicine platforms. Complete mandatory training including buprenorphine certification and obtain applicable DEA and CSL certifications. Work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM) across four days, scheduling one week in advance, while maintaining an active license in three or more U.S. states (preferably five) with a focus on expanding access to addiction treatment and underserved communities.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states
- Licensed in at least three or more of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly
- Work 8AM-6PM locally
- Work over four days each week
- Schedule at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms
- Comfort using EMRs
- At least one DEA certification
- Applicable CSL (if required)
