Job Summary
Telemedicine Physician at QuickMD providing virtual care across multiple states with the option for in-person hybrid work. Role emphasizes high-quality telehealth service, patient assessments, documentation, and collaboration with a support team. Key responsibilities include prescribing medications (buprenorphine permitted for addiction treatment, not for controlled substances otherwise), interpreting labs, maintaining medical records, staying current with telehealth practices, and delivering patient-centered care. Requires multi-state licensure, telehealth experience, ability to schedule minimum core hours weekly, comfort with EMRs, and completion of applicable training. Compensation includes per-consult and hourly components with potential annual earnings exceeding six figures for top performers. All physicians operate with flexible scheduling and support, including malpractice insurance coverage and onboarding assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, preferably five, and willingness to obtain additional licenses (assistance provided and costs covered)
- Licensed in at least five states and/or three or more of: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM local time), over four days per week, with at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills and commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
- DEA certification and applicable CSL (if required)
- Malpractice insurance coverage
- 1099 contractor arrangement
- In-person hybrid opportunities may be available
- Ability to practice in addiction treatment context and general telehealth services
