Job Summary
Telemedicine Physician role delivering virtual care across 44 states with flexible scheduling and physician-supportive infrastructure. Telemedicine focus includes addiction care, weight management, and general telehealth services; license in multiple states is required and expansion of licensure is supported. Compensation includes per-consult and hourly opportunities, with potential to exceed $400K annually for top performers. Roles emphasize remote patient care, thorough medical documentation, and collaboration with a support team; in-person hybrid opportunities may be available. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medical history reviews, interpreting labs, prescribing medications (limited to buprenorphine for opioid addiction; no controlled substances otherwise), and staying current with telehealth best practices. Licensure in multiple states (CA, FL, NC, PA, TX emphasized) and DEA certification are required; CSL may be required. The onboarding includes training for telemedicine platforms, malpractice insurance coverage, and a 1099 contract arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states (preferably five) and willingness to obtain additional state licenses (assistance provided and costs covered)
- Licensed in at least five states and/or three or more of CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
- At least one DEA certification and applicable CSL (if required)
- Fully virtual with potential in-person hybrid opportunities
- Malpractice insurance fully covered (3m/1m) and 1099 provided at year-end
