Job Summary
Provide virtual care to patients via telemedicine with licensed, multi-state eligibility; maintain patient-centered, evidence-based practice across addiction medicine, primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine. Structure emphasizes flexible scheduling, 15 core hours weekly (8AM–6PM local), potential in-person hybrid opportunities, and use of EMRs with dedicated support. Key duties include patient assessments, medical history reviews, prescribing guidance (excluding most controlled substances except buprenorphine for opioid addiction), coordinating with care teams, maintaining documentation, staying current with telehealth advances, and leveraging telemedicine platforms. Requires active multi-state medical licensure (3+ states, ideally 5+), at least one DEA certification with CSL if applicable, and malpractice coverage. Compensation described as substantial, with examples of per-consult pay and high annual earnings, plus 1099 onboarding and licensing support.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, with willingness to obtain additional licenses (assistance and costs covered).
- Licensed in at least five states and/or at least three or more of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX.
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings.
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to medical excellence.
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided).
- At least one DEA certification and applicable CSL (if required).
- Malpractice insurance fully covered (as part of onboarding).
- 1099 provided at the end of the year.
