Job Summary
Telematics Intervention Manager leads a small team of analysts to identify behavioural insights and optimise intervention strategies that improve customer outcomes, mitigate risk and support portfolio performance in motor telematics. Responsible for end-to-end interventions—from idea generation and analysis to implementation and review—through customer communications, nudges and policy actions designed to improve driving behaviour and reduce claims frequency/severity. The role requires analysing telematics, policy, claims and customer data to identify opportunities, designing and refining intervention strategies, and ensuring interventions are fair, transparent and aligned with regulatory expectations and Hastings Direct commitments. Strong collaboration across teams, commercial mindset balancing customer outcomes with risk and business performance, and capability with data tools (SQL, Python) are essential. The role embraces a flexible hybrid-working approach and is open to candidates who can contribute analytical thinking, curiosity and a customer-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or understanding of general insurance, ideally motor or telematics products
- Experience with data (behavioural or time-series data) or strong interest in developing these skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- SQL and Python preferred; other languages welcomed
