Job Summary
Telematics Installer role at EquipmentShare in Camden, NJ. Responsible for installing and repairing telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, and customer assets. Travel to client sites or rental yards region-wide for installation cases; operate machinery during installation; handle basic to complex wiring, CAN network access, ignition systems, and custom wiring harnesses; identify and resolve problems, gather/analyze information, and develop alternatives. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good with hands and tools
- Experience in related field (electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer)
- Mobile Electronics Installer
- Automotive Electronics Technician
- 12V Technician
- Prior telematics experience not necessary; training provided
- Own tools; some specialty tools provided
- Clean driving record and background check
- Open to traveling within 250 mile radius for up to a week
- Able to lift >25 lb
- Able to operate in confined spaces and test machinery
- Safety sensitive position with drug screen
- Proficient with iPhone/mobile technology and basic computer navigation
