Job Summary
Install our telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets, operating machinery for testing and removing/ignition systems to integrate communication between keypads and telematics. Resolve problems by analyzing information and developing alternative solutions for scenarios ranging from basic power/ground checks to complex CAN network wiring. Travel to client sites or rental yards within a 250-mile radius for installations, occasionally working outside business hours or on weekends. Earn $20-30/hr with overtime pay after 40 hours, subject to on-call scheduling. This role supports EquipmentShare's mission to transform the construction industry through real-time technology and team-driven innovation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good with hands and with tools
- Hard-working
- Eager to learn
- Mechanically inclined
- Proficient with iphone/ mobile phone technology
- Basic computer navigation
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to drive
- Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to lift more than 25 lb
- Must be open to traveling within a 250 mile radius of our local branch for up to a week at a time
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
- Must be clean shaven
Desired Qualifications
- Trade School Certificate
- Experience in a related field, e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, etc
- Mobile Electronics Installer
- Automotive Electronics Technician
- 12V Technician
- Prior experience in the telematics industry
